Izumo City, located in the middle east of Shimane is known throughout Japan as a “mythical country” and is blessed with a rich history and cultural heritage.
Izumo matcha is low-pesticide-cultivated and the tea leaves have brighter green color than many other tea producing areas.
Organic Matcha
Kogetsu-en’s organic matcha is carefully produced in Kagoshima, Shizuoka and Mie, which are the leading tea producing areas in Japan.
It is also recognized as organic by the United States and the EU.
Uji Matcha
Uji City, located in the south of Kyoto, is blessed with the soil and environment necessary for matcha cultivation.
Kogetsuen’s Uji Matcha is manufactured by Kogakuen Seicha, which has the largest market share among Uji Matcha.
Kocha
Picking the tea leaves of young trees in the tea plantation and letting them naturally ferment black tea.
It was made into powder.
There is less bitterness and astringency, and you can enjoy the faint sweetness of tea leaves.
It can be used as a material for sweets or dissolved in hot water.
Genmaicha
We blended brown rice (uruchi rice) with sencha (slightly larger leaves).
The flavor of tea and the aroma of brown rice are just right in powder.
It can be used as a material for sweets or dissolved in hot water.
Sencha
Since the tea leaves are powdered as they are, you can take in all the discarded ingredients.
Hoji-cha
